Minority Fellowship Program Highlighted in SAMHSA Blog Post
Sheryl Crawford, LPC, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) grant program officer, and Deborah Goodman, SAMHSA Office of Communications, highlight the MFP in a SAMHSA blog post entitled, Minority Fellowship Program Aims to Reduce Health Disparities by Increasing Culturally Competent Providers. The post details the role of the MFP program in addressing the need for culturally competent substance use and mental health services. The post also features remarks from Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Dr. Miriam E. Delphin-Rittmon, who is an MFP alumna.

AAMFT Announces Clinical Guidelines for LGBTQIA People
The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) releases Clinical Guidelines for LGBTQIA-Affirming Marriage and Family Therapy, that outline how marriage and family therapists practice in an affirming, inclusive, ethical, and competent way with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA) people. The guidelines, written by a team of queer, transgender, and allied MFT scholars and practitioners, contain five pillars for clinical practice, a glossary of relevant terms, and an extensive reference list that will be a valuable resource for anyone who practices from a systemic therapy lens.
